Thursday's moment. Spent a lovely afternoon with a friend, a long lunch. Ran a couple errands and between stops I stopped to enjoy this brief but colorful moment in the parking lot of the craft store. I much prefer the natural light of daytime but am thankful for the electric lights when night falls.It was a busy day with work, a trip into town, orders to fill, supper and so on. Bed time and I have not yet taken my pic for today. What to do, I was tempted to skip it, to post a pic from yesterday or 2 years ago! The reason I started this project was so that I would take at least one picture every day. Not a random snapshot of the back of my couch or whatever was handy, but a thought out photo that would stretch my abilities. A photo I'd be proud to say I'd taken. So far, I am very pleased with most of my photos.
I've tried to photograph the moon many times. It's kinda tricky. This is my best to date and I am pleased to share it with you. I love the moon, always have. Nothing compares to playing hide and seek with your friends in the moon light except maybe kissing your fella!
Do something everyday that stretches you, for in stretching you grow!

This cross atop the steeple in town lights up the darkness from evening to mornings first light, until the light of the sun outshines the neon cross. As believers, we are called to be light shining in the darkness. Oh that my life would radiate the love of Jesus, that His light in me would bring hope to the many around me lost in darkness.
Sometimes my light is not so bright. Sin, fear, pride, business, can all dim my light, sometimes I try to hide it! O Father, may my light be bright, bringing hope to the hearts of others until Jesus, the true light of the world returns for me or calls me home.

This morning when I got up and looked out I could see that we had another frosty morning. Trouble was I had to be to work before daylight again. It was kinda bugging me as I tromped off to work. I had my camera with me just in case I could sneak out for a few minutes after the sun came up. I could always photograph the trees along the street. As I walked toward work my eyes were drawn to the church. The light was shining on the snow that had accumulated on the roof and the frost on the trees caught some of the light as well. I tried a couple different settings hoping one would turn out. Later I did sneak out and took a few of the trees and the church. The heavy hoarfrost was beautiful. What a delightful surprise the Lord sent. Not only did He allow me to see and enjoy a beautiful morning I was also able to capture it with my camera. I can return to these beautiful surprises anytime I choose as often as I wish. Feel free to join me anytime!

Christmas Eve was a cold winters night!! We celebrated with my Husbands mom and sister who live just next door while outside the "Christmas Blizzard of 2009" was just getting started. I headed home just before midnight and looked back from my driveway. The front lights shone on the wintery night, helping me safely find my way home. It was beautiful and I tried to capture the mood. Not so beautiful the next morn, snowed in and unable to get to my parents home to celebrate Christmas!
It was a beautiful evening anyway!
